Q: MY
DOG GETS FOX TAILS BETWEEN HIS PADS WHEN We're OUT ALL OF THE TIME?
WHAT CAN I DO ? WILL YOUR SHOES HELP? Marianne Stewart Livermore, CA
A:
ABSOLUTELY ! SHOES ARE ABOUT THE ONLY THING WHICH COULD PROTECT YOUR
DOG'S PAW FROM THE FOX TAILS.
Q: MY
DOG HAS ALLERGIES TO GRASS WHICH IRRITATES HIS PAWS. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Mary-Lou Robinson Long Island, NY
A: THE
ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS TO COVER HIS PAWS. THE EASIEST WOULD BE TO USE
SHOES SINCE THEY'RE SO EASY TO PUT ON AND TAKE OFF IT WILL COST YOU NO
TIME OR HASSLE AND THE RESULT WILL BE A HAPPIER PET ! THE SHOES WILL
ALSO DOUBLE-UP FOR WINTER PROTECTION.
Q: MY
CAT HONEY, AN INDOOR CAT, HAS HER FRONT PAWS DECLAWED. LATELY SHE HAS
BECOME A 'LAP CAT'; HOWEVER, AT THE SLIGHTEST NOISE OR EVEN WITHOUT ANY
PROVOCATION, SHE BEARS DOWN ON HER HIND LEGS (NOT DECLAWED) AND BOUNDS
OFF. MY THIGHS END UP LOOKING LIKE A BLOODY WAR ZONE, NOT TO MENTION
THE PAIN. IT'S EITHER PLASTIC SURGERY (FOR ME), DECLAWING (HONEY), OR,
DO YOU THINK
THAT THE NEO-PAWS SHOES WOULD BE A BETTER SOLUTION? Donene Lashbrook
Toronto, ON
A: WELL
DONENE, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED HELP BEFORE THE SURGEONS GET TO YOU !
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT OUR SHOES ARE ALSO MADE FOR CATS AND YOU COULD
EASILY GET HER TO WEAR THE SHOES ON HER BACK PAWS. IT WOULD PROBABLY
TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO, BUT IT WOULD BE WORTH IT.
Q. My
dog always rips the leather seats in our car and we figure that if we
could prevent this from happening- we'd be better off...actually so
would he... We were thinking of putting shoes on him while traveling.
Have you ever sold shoes for this application? Kathy McCormick,
Portage, OR
A.
Absolutely ! We also sell them for boats too ! It is very common and
our shoes are a very effective way top saving your seats...and your
dog's life...

Our one year old Border
Collie has severe Bilateral Hip Dysplasia. He has already undergone a
total hip replacement on his left hip and in two months the right one
will be done. He can't walk very well on tile or wooden floors. I am
looking for anti-skid "paw coverings" for him. He weighs approx. 45
lbs. We live in southern Texas, so it gets pretty hot down here. I
don't want any fleeced-lined booties. What I am hoping to find is maybe
a "sandal-liked shoe" that will have an anti-skid sole but be open on
top and keep his paws cool.
Can you all help????
Please reply ASAP.
Thanks, Frank Salazar
A. Hello Frank,
Thank you for your
inquiry. I'm sorry to hear about your dog's discomfort, however I do
know that the NEO-PAWS shoes are used daily for this application. Since
you are indoors, the regular shoes are our recommendation. They are a
rubber sole which are light enough to wear indoors.
I look forward to hearing
from you.

Can you tell me if your
high performance shoe would be appropriate for a dog with a bad leg? My
German Shepherd (8 1/2 yrs. old; 90 lbs.) has arthritis in his spine
and is dragging his left hind leg so that his center nails are
bleeding. The booties I've been using for protection are fleece with
some kind of rubber on the bottom but they get torn up quickly. My vet
thought I
might be able to get some kind of leather boot made. But then I found
you and thought I'd ask. Do you think your's will work or do you have
any other suggestions? Thanks. Fran MacCallum. e-mail me at
fmlna@aol.com
Hello Fran,
The High-Performance shoes
will be perfect for what your dog needs - they are sturdy enough and
will not tear. You can even wrap them with some duct-tape for extra
protection around the neoprene.

Our dog, Rommell, has
Degenerative Myelopathy which is causing him to lose rear legs
mobility. His right rear leg is the worst
and he is wearing down his toe nails to the point where he is about to
expose the quick of his nails. We need, asap, to get
some kind of covering for this foot as regular walking exercise is the
best treatment for his condition. He is a large dog(105lbs) and is
additionally large boned. I downloaded your neo-paws products web page
and your XXL 3.5" x 4.25" shoe may even be too small. How do I measure
his foot? It is obviously"larger" when he is standing on it that if I
were to measure it when he is not. If someone could call me to discuss
this I would really appreciate it. We are in Florida and on Eastern
Standard Time. Someone will be here all day today and if you could find
the time to call us we would really appreciate it. Thank you.
A. Hello Nancy Trant,
The High-Performance shoes
will protect your dog's toes. As far as the sizing, you will be fine
with the XX-large. We look forward to helping your dog!

Hi Ronnie,
Thank you for your quick
response !My purpose for needing non-skid boots is to prevent sliding
on slick
floors while my dogs are dancing (turns, jumps, leaps, walking on
hindlegs, etc.) How does the regular boot compare to the High
Performance in fit and function?
With the measurements I
have given, what now would you advise?
Peggy Singletary
A. Hello Peggy, thank you
for your interest in our shoes - you definitely chose the right company.
The best choice for you
and your dog's needs will be the High-Performance shoes. They are
skid-free and will provide all of the traction which they need while
dancing, jumping, running, etc.
